Instructions PC Only

FPS and Visibility Game Configuration File for Modern Warfare III (Multiplayer, Zombies, Resurgence & Battle Royale).

Overview
A custom profile configuration file for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (Multiplayer, Zombies, Resurgence & Battle Royale) tuned for in-game maximum FPS but maintaining good long range visibility even on big maps like Urzikstan.
Heads up! The game must be fully closed and not open or running in the background when replacing, restoring or editing the options file.
Backup. Cannot stress this enough: Always Backup your data!

Remember to backup your current file elsewhere just in case, like on your Desktop or alternatively just rename the current existing file options.4.cod23.cst to something else like options.4.cod23_backup.cst to revert back to later if necessary or for comparing both files using something like the free text-compare website.
Run a Benchmark. If you own Modern Warfare III multiplayer I suggest you running an in-game Benchmark first and taking a note of your Avg FPS or simply take a photo or screenshot to referance to later after replacing the configuration file. Worse FPS and no better off? Use that handy backup you did on the previous step to revert back.
File location. The profile configuration file options.4.cod23.cst is normally within your Documents. Mine is llocated at C:\Users\*USERNAME*\Documents\Call of Duty\players on Windows 8, 10 and Windows 11.
Notes. After downloading the file you will need to modify the RendererWorkerCount:0.0 = "16" line to the match your systems CPU's core count.

If you don't know this you can open Task Manager > Performance Tab > CPU > Bottom right "Cores: X" You can also experiment setting it to one core LESS than your CPU to allow a single core for Windows/System. You can even try setting it too two cores less and compare the results.

Compare both in a in-game MWIII Benchmark and see which ones gets the best results.
Download. To download the configuration file vist the Modern Warfare III PC Settings page and expand the " Game Configuration File Magic!" section.
Disapointing results? If the results or Avg FPS is lower or running into game stability issues, seeing an increase in dev errors or simply want to revert back to your defaults you can simply restore the backed up options.4.cod23.cst file from the Backup step we did first.

Alternatively you can simply delete the file or the "players" folder located within Documents > Call of Duty and when you next launch Modern Warfare III and Warzone it will automatically re-create the players configuration files.
