OBS Studio v28
The latest OBS Studio update is live.
Aesthetic overview! High resolution text (1440p/4K), new colors and finally OBS Studio looks modern.
You can now capture specific audio from a window (example Spotify) as a separate audio input.
This new feature will allow you to adjust the volume of the settings of a specific input (example Spotify) separate from your other program(s) audio.
This also makes it easier for everyone to remove music from VODs!
Capture Spotify as a second separate source and send it to a separate audio track (2-6) then inside OBS Studio > Settings > Output > Twitch VOD Track select the track (2-6). During a live stream viewers/audience will still hear all sources of audio (Music, Game, Microphone etc) but your VOD will have Music removed. You still need to own the copyright to the music - or risk DMCA strikes, yikes.
For DMCA and copyright free music I recommend StreamBeats (Copyright Free Music for Twitch Streamers and YouTubers) or the RoyaltyFreeMusicNoCopyrightMusic channel on YouTube.
OBS Studio v28 brings NVIDIA Broadcast directly in OBS Studio. Including NVIDIA Room Echo Removal (Audio Filters > Noise Suppression), Background Audio and NVIDIA Background Removal with "Virtual Background" (Audio/Video Filters > Effect Filters) with no need for a greenscreen.
This is exciting news for Mac computers with Apple silicon such as M1/M2 MacBook owners!
You can finally send messages as broadcaster when using the pop-out chat window.
Webcam settings such as brightness, contrast, hue and saturation no longer reset to defaults for classic webcam owners. Save the settings directly in OBS.
OBS gets more refined measurements for pixel perfect perfectionists. OBS will now give more refinded borders and measurements when adjusting sources. Overlays and alerts just got easier.
