Instructions Windows PC Only

FPS and Visibility game configuration file for Black Ops 6.

Overview
A custom profile configuration file for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (Multiplayer, Zombies, Warzone) Season 01 tuned for in-game maximum FPS but maintaining good long range visibility on Multiplayer, Area 99 and even on big Battle Royale maps like Urzikstan.
Heads up! The game must be fully closed and not open or running in the background when replacing, restoring or editing the options file.
Backup. This cannot be stressed enough Always backup your data.

Remember to backup your current file elsewhere just in case, like on your Desktop or alternatively just rename the current existing file s.1.0.cod24 to something else like s.1.0.cod24_backup to revert back to later if necessary or for comparing both files using something like the free text-compare website.
Run a Benchmark. If you own Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Multiplayer I suggest you running an in-game Benchmark - Its the last tab under Graphics Settings - first and taking a note of your Avg FPS and other results or simply take a photo or screenshot to referance to later after replacing the configuration file. Worse FPS and no better off? Use that handy backup you did on the previous step to revert back, simple!
File location. The profile configuration files s.1.0.cod24 are normally within your Documents folder by default. For example C:\Users\*USERNAME*\Documents\Call of Duty\players on Windows 8, 10 and Windows 11.
Notes. After downloading the file you will need to modify a few lines to match your PC hardware specifications. To find the line faster use Ctrl + F in NotePad or Visual Studio Code.

Section Value Notes
AudioMixPreset flat_cer I am using ZiiGaat x Fresh Reviews Arete (previously Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite) with Art_Is_War Audio EQ. Watch the 16 Nov 2024 Guide. I find ZiiGaat extra spacious with sound cues in steps below/above you (on same level is pretty much the same) over the Orchestras, ZiiGaat fit better in my ears.
NvidiaReflex Enabled This depends if you are GPU or CPU bound (see GPU vs. CPU bound below). If you are GPU bound set this to ON (resize bar ON). If you are CPU bound set this to ON + BOOST (resize bar OFF)
GPUUploadHeaps true If you are GPU bound set this to true (NvidiaReflex = Enabled). If you are CPU bound set this to false (NvidiaReflex = Enabled + boost). See GPU vs. CPU bound below.
RendererWorkerCount Enabled See this useful chart from FPS HUB. If you don't know which CPU you have you can check using Task Manager as shown in this photo.

You can also experiment setting it to one core LESS than your CPU to allow a single core for Windows/System. You can even try setting it too two cores less and compare the results.

Compare your originally file using the In Game Benchmark then compare this modifited file and see which ones gets the best results.

GPU vs. CPU bound

In order to see if you are CPU or GPU bound go to Settings > Interface > Telemetry and make sure Graphic Card (GPU) Time and Processor (CPU) Time are both set to On.

From there load into a match of Multiplayer, Warzone or Zombies and which ever number is higher (in ms) is where you are bound. Usually, 1080p and 1440p are more CPU bound than 4K gamers GPU bound.

To get the most optimal results I highly recommended you use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) and install GeForce Game Ready Driver - v566.36 and Delete shadercache. Alternatively, I can guide you via a Discord Voice Call.
Download. To download the configuration file vist the Black Ops 6 Recommended Settings page and expand the Game Configuration File Magic! section and choose your system resolution 1080p (HD) or 1440p (QHD). Unfortunately I do not have a WQHD (Wide Quad HD) to test.
Disapointing results?

If the results or Avg FPS is lower or running into game stability issues, seeing an increase in dev errors or simply want to revert back to your defaults you can simply restore the backed up s.1.0.cod24_backup file from the Backup step we did at the beginning renaming the file to remove _backup.

Alternatively you can simply delete the file or the players folder located within Documents > Call of Duty and when you next launch Call of Duty HQ it will automatically re-create the players configuration files.
